川名哲紀（Tetsunori Kawana）

1982年以降、草月流3代目家元、アーチスト勅使河原宏氏に師事し強烈な影響を受けながら造形作家として活動を続ける。以後毎年個展を開催。

92年　フランス、リヨンにてオペラTURANDOTOの舞台

他にも日本始め多くの国でインスタレーション制作を主に、独創的な作品を発表、グローバルな視点から「生命へのこだわり」を日々追い続けている。 今後の創造活動から目が離せないアーティストである。

Tetsunori Kawana Profile

Since 1982, Kawana has been artistically active as under the strong influence of Hiroshi Teshigahara, the third grand master of the Sogetsu School's of Ikebana (Japanese art of flower arrangement). Kawana has continued to hold private exhibitions every year.

1992 Served as assistant stage art director for Hiroshi Teshigahara's production of Puccini's TURANDOT held in Lyon, France

1994 Served as art director for the Nagano City stage production for the closing ceremony of the Lillehammer Winter Olympic Games

1995 Exhibited installation works at the Japan Art Festival in Numazu, Shizuoka Pref., Japan

1996 Selected as one of ten artists from around the world to exhibit at the Art Sella Biennale in Borgo, Italy

1997 Served as stage art director for the Matto International Drum Festival "Extasia" in Ishikawa Pref., Japan

Served as assistant stage art director for the "Chandrarekha" dance group performance, Shiga Pref., Japan

1999 Served as assistant stage art director for a performance of the legendary Kumano Susanoo Folktale in Wakayama Pref., Japan
